The Diamonds
THE DIAMONDS
By: Ted Michael

The Story:
At Long Islands’s private Bennington School, the Diamonds rule supreme. They’re the girls all the boys want to date and all the girls want to be. And fortunately for Marni, she’s right in the middle of them. Best friends with the ringleader, Clarissa, Marni enjoys all the spoils of the ultrapopular: boys, power, and respect. But then Marni gets a little too close to Clarissa’s ex-boyfriend, Anderson. Wrong move. The Diamonds don’t touch each other’s exes. And just like that, Marni is jettisoned from Diamond to lower than Cubic Zirconia. But Marni isn’t about to take her ouster lying down. She has dirt on the Diamonds, and she’s not about to go down without a fight. Everyone knows, the only thing strong enough to cut a Diamond is another Diamond.

My Thoughts:
Well, this is certainly quite different. Okay, maybe not in a sense that this is still a teen lit about it girls fighting with each other. But you have to admit that it's not everyday that the story actually featured smart girls in it. Meet the Diamonds (obviously the alpha females) led by Clarissa. So when best friend Marni (our heroine) hooked up with said boyfriend behind her back, well... let's just say that no girl would take that lightly. So being the scheming b*?!h that she is, she did what any respected b*?!h would do, get her back. Sure, at Bennington the Diamonds are the law but it's still interesting to see girls fighting each other in a mock trial & court of law. Seriously, it's quite entertaining. Although it can get a little boring as you got into the second half of the story but stick with it since it's quite good.

My Ratings: * * *
